As Chief Interpreter for the past five editions of the Olympic and Paralympic Games

- a role I consider both the most challenging and rewarding of my career - I've been involved in everything from recruiting interpreters and coordinating accommodation, travel and logistics to managing contracts, developing budgets and overseeing scheduling.

During the Games, the interpreting team works like a finely-tuned symphony orchestra, with each member contributing their part to achieve perfect harmony.

My role has always been to facilitate this cohesiveness, ensuring that each member of the team plays their part seamlessly to help unite people through communication.

My journey with the Olympics started as a professional interpreter nine Olympic Games ago. This early experience offered invaluable insights into the complex processes and nuanced demands of coordinating language interpretation for events of such scale.

It paved the way for me to assume the role of Chief Interpreter starting at the Rio 2016 Olympic and Paralympic Games.

In my work with the IOC, I've taken on A dual role as both Chief Interpreter and External Adviser

This means that as well as recruiting interpreters and helping with budgeting, logistics, accreditation and transport, I'm also involved in the IOC's Olympic Games Knowledge Management Programme.

Here I help future Olympic hosts to plan and implement language services operations in the run-up to the Games and during the event itself.

For many years I've also had the privilege of interpreting for UEFA and FIFA, including during the FIFA Confederations and World Cup.

As a consulting interpreter, I've also been responsible for recruiting interpreters and providing language support at various FIFA Olympic tournaments.

As a conference interpreter, I've had the privilege of working with a wide range of prestigious organisations, including the United Nations, the International Telecommunications Union, the World Trade Organisation, the World Health Organisation, the International Labour Office and many more. My expertise also extends to various high-profile events such as the G8 and G20 summits.

Throughout my career, I've been involved in providing interpretation and translation services, as well as assembling teams for numerous high-profile arbitrations. These include cases such as CAS v Russian Olympic Committee, WADA v RUSADA and various other high-profile sports and commercial arbitration proceedings.
